Brett Hall begins his fourth season as assistant head coach for the Saints baseball program.
During the 2007 season, the Saints pitching staff finished fifth in the Peach Belt Conference in earned run average, as well as winning two Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week awards. Then-freshman catcher, Daniel Petitti, also led the conference in runners thrown out attempting to steal.
Hall works primarily with the catchers and pitchers and also oversees the upkeep and maintenance of the NGCSU Baseball Complex. During the summer, Hall coordinates the Saints Baseball camp held on the North Georgia campus.
A familiar face to Saints baseball, Hall began his career at North Georgia in 2000 with head coach Tom Cantrell's inaugural team. He guarded the Saints backstop for four seasons and posted a career batting average of .227 with 87 RBI's. Hall holds the all-time NGCSU record for most runners picked off (19), and sacrifice hits (25). He is also ranked in the top-five in three different career categories for the Saints program: third in most games played (191) and started (179), and fifth in total at-bats (636). In addition, he holds the Saints single season record for runners caught stealing (30). He was a member of the 2001 and 2003 GACC Championship teams as well as the 2002 and 2004 NAIA Region XIII championship teams.
A native of Sugar Hill, Georgia, Hall graduated from North Gwinnett High School in 1999 and was a standout catcher for the Bulldogs baseball team. He was inducted into the North Gwinnett High School Hall of Fame after the completion of his senior year at North Gwinnett. Hall is a 2004 graduate of NGCSU and received his degree in Physical Education with a minor in Business Administration. He is currently pursuing his master's degree at NGCSU in Education. He and his wife, Cory, reside in Dawsonville. |
