DAHLONEGA, GA – North Georgia College & State University fell 5-4 in game one, but pulled out a 10-5 win in game two to split a double-dip with USC Aiken as both teams open their Peach Belt Conference schedules.

In game two, North Georgia jumped out to an early lead, with single runs in the first two innings and a four spot in the third to take a 6-0 lead. Jacobson had the big blow with a ninth inning long ball to give USC Aiken the one run lead. Scott Wandless picked up the win for the Pacers with 8.0 innings of six hit ball, allowing two earned runs while striking out four.

Josh Tate recorded two hits in the contest, and drove in a run in the defeat. Garrett Lussi (0-1) was tagged with the loss in 1.2 innings of work, allowing one hit and one run.
