NORTH GEORGIA INKS FIVE DURING EARLY SIGNING PERIOD
Saints sign three high school players and two junior college standouts

Dahlonega, Ga. – North Georgia College & State University head baseball coach Tom Cantrell announced five players that signed with the Saints program during the early signing period.

Ross Book is currently a sophomore at Truett McConnell College. During his freshman season, Book hit .343 with eight stolen bases and two homeruns. He will add depth and leadership to the Saints outfield in 2008. Book is a graduate of Duluth High School.

Rob Flannigan will join his junior college teammate, Book, at North Georgia in 2008. He is currently a first baseman at Truett McConnell College, where he hit .380 during his freshman season. He also slugged 10 doubles, five homeruns and recorded a .558 slugging percentage. He is a graduate of South Gwinnett High School.

The Saints also signed three high school players for the 2008 season: Kirklan Moore, Aaron Trammell and Garret Deason.

Moore is a senior outfielder at Mill Creek High School. Last season he was named to the Honorable Mention All-Region Team in 7AAAAA. He was also named a Scholar-Athlete and named to the Georgia Dugout Club Top 100.

Trammell is a homeschool student from Athens who plays summer ball for Team Elite, under coach Brad Boris. He is a utility player who plays third base, first base and catcher.

Deason is currently a senior at Spalding High School, where he plays shortstop and pitches. He has power to all fields.
