#7 SAINTS SWEEP COBRAS 16-1 Dahlonega, Ga. - The seventh ranked North Georgia College & State University baseball team swept their home series opener with a 16-1 win over Virginia Intermont College today. The Saints scored four runs in the second and five in the third and fourth innings. Junior short stop Kyle Potts (Jefferson, Ga.) hit his first home run of the year in rout to a five RBI day. Sophomore center fielder Josh Stowe (Marietta, Ga.) also had a good day at the plate, knocking three hits and tallying five RBI's. Senior starter Jason Willard (Columbus, Ga.) pitched five strong innings for the win and struck out 10 batters. Cobras sophomore starter Early Page (Wirtz, Va.) took the loss after giving up four earned runs off of 10 hits. North Georgia will play again this Friday as they host Claflin University at 2:00 p.m. Box Score
