SAINTS SHUTOUT LIONS 15-0
Kevin Bulger hits for the cycle

Demorest, Ga. – In his first four at-bats, senior shortstop Kevin Bulger (Snellville, Ga.) hit for the cycle and led North Georgia College & State University to a 15-0 victory over Piedmont College last night in non-conference baseball action.

Bulger hit a RBI triple in the first inning to start the evening and then hit a two run homer in the second inning to put the Saints up 4-0. In the third inning, he singled up the middle and completed the cycle in the fourth inning with a two out RBI double down the right field line to make the score 12-0. Bulger finished the evening five-for-six at the plate with three runs and four RBI's.

Three pitchers shutout the Lions and allowed only three hits in the game. Sophomore starter Brandon Sikes (Acworth, Ga.) pitched four innings and did not allow a hit and struck out five batters. Senior reliever Ryan Garmon (Dahlonega, Ga.) pitched two innings and picked up the win after allowing only one hit and striking out two. Senior closer Craig McKee (Buford, Ga.) completed the shutout with three innings of work allowed only two hits with four strikeouts.

Freshman designated hitter Eric Good (Dahlonega, Ga.) continued to hit the ball well for the Saints as he went three-for-four with a homerun, three RBI's and two runs scored. Senior right fielder Richie Daigle (Alpharetta, Ga.) brought his batting average up to .351 after going four-for-six with one RBI and two runs.

The Saints are now 33-10 overall and 22-6 in the Southern States Athletic Conference. North Georgia will play again today as they face the University of Alabama-Huntsville for a double header at 2:00 p.m. at the NGCSU Baseball Complex.
