SAINTS CONTINUE TO WIN AT SSAC TOURNAMENT
Blast Georgia Southwestern 17 - 4

Cleveland, Tenn. – North Georgia College & State University continues to dominate the competition as they rocket past Georgia Southwestern State University 17-4. North Georgia has some great momentum going into round three of the SSAC Tournament as they are on a nine game winning streak.

The Hurricanes of GSW staked a 3-0 lead after three innings, but the Saints scored six runs in the top of the fourth to take the lead.  North Georgia would not look back as they put up 11 more runs in the remaining five innings.

Georgia Southwestern scored two of their runs off solo home runs by Jake Mobley and Patrick McCarthy. Jeremy McCall accounted for the other Hurricanes runs with two RBI.

Justin Rickett swung a hot bat with a 4-for-5 game. Rickett homered, scored three times and knocked in four runs. Kevin Bulger was 3-for-5 with an RBI, a triple and three runs scored.  Creston Warner and Richie Daigle each tallied two hits with Warner rounding the bases with a home run and Daigle legging out a triple. 

Stephen Flake went the distance for North Georgia to earn the win. Nathan Tamargo was charged with the loss.
