#22 SAINTS FLY PAST CRUSADERS 17-0

Dahlonega, Ga. – Shelling out 17 runs off of 16 hits and three Atlanta Christian College errors, 22nd ranked North Georgia College & State University defeated the Crusaders 17-0 at the NGCSU Baseball Complex.

The Saints (39-10) scored 15 runs in the first three innings of the ball game, with nine of the runs in the third inning. Sophomore third baseman Justin Rickett (Cumming, Ga.) led North Georgia at the plate after going 3-for-four at the plate with four runs and three RBI's, including a solo homer in the fourth inning to make the score 16-0. Freshman center fielder Ryan Seay (Dawsonville, Ga.) also had a good day at the plate after going 3-for-5 with three runs and one RBI. Freshman shortstop Trey Henson (Athens, Ga.) had a career day after going 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBI's.

Five North Georgia pitchers combined for the four hit shutout with senior starter Kevin Bugler (Snellville, Ga.) picking up his first win of the season after going four innings and striking out four hitters. ACC (14-18) junior starter Jerry Welch (Tallapoosa, Ga.) was touched up for 11 earned runs off of nine hits with one strike out.

The Saints will take the diamond again tomorrow as they face Anderson College for a home game at 6:00 p.m. The Crusaders take to the field again on Friday at home as they face Southeastern College at 2:00 p.m.
