Lauderdale, a 5-10 second baseman from Roswell, Ga., batted .500 last week and had a whopping 13 RBIs and three home runs. He posted at least one hit in every game and currently is on a seven game hitting streak. In a 13-6 win over Shorter College on Friday, Lauderdale sparked a nine run inning with a grand slam. In Saturday's win over the Hawks, he again led off a 10 run inning and finished the game with six RBIs. Lauderdale currently leads the conference in runs scored, hits, RBIs, and stolen bases.
North Georgia is currently ranked 17th in the nation and is the second seed in the SSAC Baseball Tournament beginning tomorrow. The Saints have posted a 46-12 overall record with a 24-9 conference record. North Georgia begins the tournament tomorrow with a noon game against seventh seed Southern Polytechnic State University. |
