Chris Church joined the development team at North Georgia in October 2005 as director of annual giving. She manages annual (repeatable) gifts that provide supplemental funding for those areas not adequately funded by state budget allocations or tuition. She has almost 10 years experience in fundraising and alumni work.
Before coming to Georgia , Chris was director of annual giving at Washington & Jefferson College in Pennsylvania . She has also served as director of comprehensive gifts at Lander University (SC), associate director of annual giving at Hamilton College (NY), and director of alumni affairs at SUNY-Morrisville (NY). Prior to her work in higher education, Chris was a business owner and retail store manager.
Chris graduated summa cum laude from SUNY Institute of Technology with a bachelor of Professional Studies in Business & Public Management with a concentration in Marketing. She earned her MBA degree, majoring in organization and management, from Syracuse University in 1996.
Since Chris was raised as an 'Air Force brat," and her husband, Jim, is a Vietnam veteran, their core values are congruent with our distinctive campus. Their four children, three of whom are profoundly deaf, are all college graduates, and two are in the mission field. Chris enjoys reading, sports, bible study, church activities, and their nine grandchildren.
If you have questions about how to make your annual gift, or if you would like to get involved as a volunteer, please give her a call. She enjoys sharing information with donors who are happy to help students and working with faculty to meet their goals to be outstanding leaders in their fields.
