In the past it was necessary to login to the campus network in order to access your P: drive. FTP access is now available and will allow you to FTP directly to your P: drive from anywhere in the world.
| 1 |
Before you begin, you must be connected to the Internet. It's important that you know your network ID and password (you use this when you login to the campus computer labs or your NGCSU e-mail.) |
| 2 |
Double-click on My Computer |
| 3 |
In the Address bar, enter the following: |
| |
ftp://yourIDhere@hawkeye.ngcsu.edu |
| |
Make sure you substitute your network ID as shown above in red. |
| |
Note: If the Address bar is not showing, you will need to add it.
Click View
Select Toolbars
Click Address Bar |
| 4 |
If you entered the URL properly, you should be prompted for a password. Enter your network ID logon password. |
| 5 |
You should now be able to view files and directories within your P: drive. You can drag and drop files to and from your PC to the FTP site shown in the window. |
