We are implementing a new password profile to provide better security for the Banner Forms environment.
Here are the new rules for Banner Forms passwords. The important parts of the error messages are underlined.
Passwords:
May not contain the Username.
May not contain common words or character strings.
Must have at least 2 alphabetic characters (A-Z).
Must have at least 2 numeric characters (0-9).
May contain special characters but not "@".
Must change at least 2 characters when allowed to expire
Will expire after 100 days, with a 10 day grace period.
May not be reused within 365 days
Changing your password:
1) After logging onto Banner Forms (INB) you can change your password by entering the form name "GUAPSWD" in the "Go To..." box as shown below..
2) This will take you to the "Oracle Password Change Form" (GUAPSWD) as shown below.
You will automatically be brought to this screen if you try to log in after your password expires
To change your password:
1. Enter your Old Password in the box labeled "Oracle Password"
2. Enter nothing in the box labeled "Database"
3. Enter your new password in the box labeled "New Oracle Password"
4. Enter your new password again in the box labeled "Verify Password"
5. Click on the small diskette icon in the lower right hand corner to save it.
If you recieve any error messages then look at the top of this page to see explanantions of error messages and solutions
If you do not recieve any error messages then you will be immediately redirected to the main menu and your password has been changed successfully.
