How to change from Plain Text to HTML View

E-mail messages in GroupWise may be composed and/or read in Plain Text or HTML. When an HTML e-mail message is received and the default read view is set to Plain Text, the message may not display correctly until the HTML View option is turned on.

Setting default Read and Compose Views:
1. There are two views in GroupWise for reading or composing an e-mail message: Plain Text and HTML.
2. Go to the Tools menu and select Options.
3. Double-click on the Environment icon.
4. In the Environment box, click on the Views tab.
5.

To change the default view for all messages sent by you: Click on either HTML or Plain Text under the Default Compose View.

To change the default view for reading all messages: Click on either HTML or Plain Text under the Default Compose View.

Composing a message:
1. To compose a message, click on the Create New Mail icon.
2.

Plain Text is the default view when composing a message. To switch to HTML View, click on the View menu and select HTML. In HTML View, an options toolbar will be displayed. This includes options such as text formating, text color, inserting lines or pictures, inserting background images and inserting links. Within the HTML View, the views can be toggled back and forth by switching the selected option under the Views menu.

Note: The recipient of your e-mail message must have the option to view HTML message in order to view it correctly.

Viewing a message :
1. Open a message in your mailbox.
2.

Click on the View menu and select HTML.

Note: Depending on how the e-mail message was originally composed by the sender, the message may or may not be able to switch from Plain Text to HTML View.
