How to search for Student e-mail addresses

Follow the steps below to configure your GroupWise address book to search for student e-mail accounts. It's a two step procedure. The first step will help you configure your address book and the second step will describe how to perform a search. Note: These instructions only apply to the GroupWise application that runs on your PC. Do not attempt to complete the steps if you are using a Mac or WebAccess.
 
Step 1: Add the Students address book into GroupWise
1. Open your GroupWise Address Book and click on Novell LDAP Address Book.
2. Click Directories, then click Add.
3. Enter Students as the Account name, click Next.
4. Enter 168.30.193.37 as the Server name and enter 389 as the Server port. Click Finish.
5. At the Internet Directory Accounts box, click on Students , then click Set As Default.
6. Click Properties, then click the Searching tab. In the Search base field, enter ou=students,ou=local_net,o=ngcsu and then slide the amount of time to search before timing out bar all the way to the right side. Change maximum # of matches to return to 9999. Click Apply.
7. Then click Search Fields.
8. Click the box next to cn, givenname, and sn, then click OK.
9. Click Apply at Students Properties, then click OK.
10. Click Close at Internet Directory Accounts.
11. Click Close to close the GroupWise Address book.
   
Step 2: How to search for Student e-mail address
1. Open your GroupWise Address Book and click on Novell LDAP Address Book.
2. You can search for a student by his/her first or last name.
3. Whichever you choose, type their name in the corresponding field, then click Retrieve.
