Roy E. Bottoms Scholarship
Dean’s Award
Eligibility:
-
Full-time undergraduate student who has been
admitted to and remains in good standing in their declared
program or emphasis area within the School
-
Preference given to students who reside in
Forsyth, Cobb, Lumpkin, Floyd or Fulton County, Georgia.

Have financial need
Award amount: Tuition Equivalent
-
The scholarship amount is “equivalent to NGCSU
tuition” only.
-
There are two (2) awards given each year.
-
The award is for one (1) academic year.
-
The scholarship is non-renewable, but recipients
may reapply for the scholarship.
-
Recipients are ineligible for other University
leadership and/or academic scholarships. Need-based assistance
will be reduced by these funds.
Materials required:

Confidential reference form from a
faculty member in your content or specialty area.

A 500 (approximately) word essay
clearly indicating why you are deserving of this scholarship with a
clear statement concerning your academic qualifications, economic
hardship, and present level of financial support.
INSTRUCTIONS:
One application for each scholarship you
are applying and attach the following to
each application:
1) A 500 word essay (approximately) indicating why you are
deserving of this scholarship with a
statement concerning your academic
qualifications, economic hardship, and
present level of financial support. For
research support, discuss your project.
2.) A confidential
reference form from one faculty in your content area.
Place application packet(s) in an
envelope for submission. Incomplete
applications will not be reviewed.
Financial Aid will notify the recipients.
