Stefanie
D. Palma, PT, DPT, M. Ed.
Stefanie Palma earned both a BS PT and
an M. Ed degree from Georgia State University (GSU). She
received a post-professional DPT from the University of
Central Arkansas. She has practiced physical therapy for
30 years. Her areas of interest include neurology,
neurological rehabilitation, MFR, professionalism, and
ethics. She has previously taught at Georgia State
University and served as the founding Program Director
for the PTA program at Gwinnett Technical College.
She currently serves as the immediate past President of the Physical
Therapy Association of Georgia and is a member of its
Executive Board. Dr. Palma served as
a Commissioner for the Commission on Accreditation
in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) 2000-2005 and has
served as Chair of the PTA panel for CAPTE from
2002-2004. She served on the Criteria Review Group for
CAPTE, the group responsible for developing the
2006 accreditation criteria for all physical therapy
education programs in the U.S. Dr. Palma currently
serves as a Commissioner and a Team Leader for CAPTE. Dr.
Palma is Department Chairman and Associate Professor in the
Physical Therapy Department at North Georgia
College & State University. |
