The Department of Health & Physical Education offers two Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree programs: the major in Physical Education & the major in Athletic Training. The major in Physical Education offers the following three emphasis areas: (1) Teacher Certification (P-12), (2) Exercise Science & (3) Physical Education with the Leadership Minor. A Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in physical education is also offered at the graduate level.
The Physical Education (Exercise Science) program is no longer accepting applications for admittance throughout the academic year. Applications for a Fall 2008 admittance will only be accepted once per year (January 22, 2008 to March 14, 2008 or until the upcoming class is full). At the present time, the Exercise Science emphasis area is closed. All future applicants that were not admitted initially will be placed on a waiting list. Any accepted student that does not meet the minimum prerequisite requirements will have their acceptance letter withdrawn and the first qualified applicant on the waiting list will receive a letter of acceptance.
