We get many requests for information about teacher certification from people who already hold bachelors
degrees. It would be very helpful if you would read through the information before requesting an
appointment to meet with someone.
The contact individuals for the North Georgia College and State University programs are:
If you wish additional information or to contact these
people, please email them first. Many questions can be answered this way and it is a good way to
make appointments. Because our undergraduate programs are school-based and our graduate programs are
taught in the evening, it is not always easy to reach faculty by phone or by dropping in. All of the
faculty members above have school supervision appointments in the morning, and at least one night class.
We schedule two orientation sessions about these
programs during the fall semester and two during the spring. Dates have not yet been determined, but
will be posted on the graduate school web site (
http://www.ngcsu.edu/academic/graduate/gradprog.htm).
You can also find information about graduate admissions
here. Ms. Dana Turner, the admissions officer for teacher education can also answer many questions
about admissions issues. You can contact her by email at dturner@ngcsu.edu, or reach the office at 706 864-1533.
