I am currently on reassignment to the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. I am the Director of P-16 Assessment and Evaluation working on grants from The Pew Charitable Trusts, the National Science Foundation, School to Work, the U. S. Department of Education and others. I primarily work on developing strategies for teaching and assessment in a standards-based environment and on conducting evaluations of the various P-16 Initiatives. The most current evaluation project is investigating the impact of a mathematics and science initiative funded by a $34.6 million dollar grant from NSF. During the 2003-2004, I am a visiting professor at Emory University’s Division of Educational Studies teaching the doctoral level statistics courses.
