Welcome to my web page. I teach political science at North Georgia College and State University. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree with an international business minor from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Following my Bachelor's Degree I attended Miami University of Ohio where I received both my Masters Degree and my PhD. My areas of concentration in my doctoral work were: Comparative Foreign Policy, International Relations Theory, Comparative Politics, and East Asian studies.
This page is set up to be a reference for political science students, as well as others who are interested in world affairs.
Are you interested in the world around you? Do you find the struggle for power between states intriguing? Do you think citizenship an important skill for everyone? (Or, have you always dreamed of being a character in a James Bond movie bent on world domination?)
If you answered the first three questions in the affirmative then CONGRATULATIONS! You are a perfect candidate for a political science major!
If you answered the fourth question in the affirmative--sorry, we do not teach all of the tools necessary for world domination.

International Organizations also play a vital role in global politics.
I am also the faculty advisor for the Model United Nations group here on campus. The Model United Nations is a team of NGCSU students that compete in national and regional competitions. The team represents the perspective of a country and discusses major issues such as human rights, space exploration, and disarmament from the viewpoint of their state. This allows them to increase their knowledge of international affairs, and to broaden their exposure to other cultures. Their activities at the conferences as well as their actions on this campus help to show NGCSU students a world beyond Georgia and the United States.
