MAJOR IN MATHEMATICS
Mathematics & Computer Science Department

All baccalaureate degree programs at NGCSU have as a requirement the satisfactory completion of at least 60 semester credit hours
 comprising the six areas of the core curriculum. A complete description of Areas A-E of the core curriculum can be found on page 84
 of the 2004-2006 Undergraduate Bulletin. Individual degree programs may specify exceptions and/or particular courses which must be
 taken within each Area A-E of the core curriculum.  The exceptions for the BS degree in Mathematics are that a student must do one of
the following.  Either take MATH 1113 (Precalculus) in Area A and MATH 2450 (Calculus I) in Area D or 
take MATH 2450 (Calculus I) in
 Area A and MATH 2460 (Calculus II) in Area D
.  Other requirements are listed in the table below.

12 Semester hours
    at the 3000 level or above.
These may not include

   if not in Area F
Senior Exam
Senior Questionaire
Regent's Test
US & Georgia History
US & Georgia Constitution
Basic PE requirement
No D in any Math Course
