Individual Therapy/Counseling -
Individual, confidential counseling is offered to all students to help in dealing with a number of issues from adjustment issues, depression and anxiety, as well as gender and relationship issues.

Couples Therapy/Counseling - Couples therapy is offered to both married and non-married couples and is open to all sexual orientation(s).

Group Therapy/Counseling - On campus support groups are offered on campus to deal with a number of issues affecting students. Groups are formed as needs arise on campus.

Brief Crisis Intervention/Stabilization - Counseling staff is available during office hours as well as after hours for crisis intervention and stabilization.

Suicide Prevention and Education - Suicidal clients are taken very seriously in the counseling center. Our staff is highly trained in dealing with suicide crisis intervention as well as educating students and staff as to the dangers and warning signs of suicide.

Relaxation Training - Our staff utilizes a number of relaxation exercises including deep breathing, meditation and progressive muscle relaxation to help students alleviate anxiety.

Problem Solving - Behavioral Analysis as well as Supportive-Expressive Therapeutic approaches are frequently implemented by our counseling staff to help students in making difficult decisions or life choices.

Distress Tolerance Skills Building - Using a dialectical behavioral approach our staff works with students to deal with ongoing distress of situations that cannot be changed readily and work with students to build mindfulness and strategies for dealing with crisis survival.

Biofeedback - The Counseling Center has a Biofeedback lab for students to use in learning to deal with anxiety, stress management, pain management, and other anxiety related disorders.

Time Management Skills Building - Counseling staff works with students to build time management skills as students often have difficulty adjusting to the rigorous schedule of an academic life.

Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Assessment/Counseling - The Counseling Center offers a comprehensive alcohol and drug education program on campus as well as individual assessment and intervention for students having difficulty with alcohol and drugs, or for those students simply seeking education materials.

Career Counseling - Counseling staff provides students with resources and career instruments such as DISCOVER to help in selecting a career or major.
