Lewis Hall
First constructed in 1952, Lewis Hall was named for Ms. Willie Lewis. The inside of Lewis Hall was remodeled in 2003. This female residence hall is a four-story brick building containing 117 rooms housing up to 209 women. Lewis Hall has local telephone service, basic cable service, and network access to each room. This air-conditioned building has 1 central lounge with smaller lounges on each floor, coin-operated laundry facilities, vending machine, a full kitchen area, computer lab with network access, and community bathrooms on each hall. Lewis Hall contains double and single occupancy rooms. Each double occupancy room measures 12' x 14' with deep green and purple carpet.
Rooms in Lewis Hall contain two single beds that may be bunked, lofted, or left single, two standard-sized twin mattresses, two chairs, two desks, two chests, and two wardrobe/closets (unless single occupancy room). The windows measure 42” wide and 60” high and have blinds provided. Microwaves are permitted in Lewis Hall. Freshmen residents will not be assigned to Lewis Hall. The building is staffed with 7 Resident Assistants, and 1 Graduate Head Resident.
