Battery
To recharge battery you need to connect iPod in to USB port on your computer. The USB port on keyboard (Mac users) does not provide enough power, so you have to use USB port on your computer. Another way is to use iPod USB Power Adapter, available separately.
AUTO SYNC Problem
The most convenient feature iTunes provide is AutoSync preference (when is enabled, every time iPod is plugged in computer iTunes will automatically add music). This feature works perfect when all music/videos are saved in designated iTunes folder (default set up is MyDocuments \MyMusic\ iTunes\ iTunesMusic).
What occurs when your iPod is plugged into another computer (computer which has no music or no videos)!? All your music/videos WILL BE ERASED, since iPod is “Read Only”. iPod will only copy music off a computer not add music to a computer. How to fix that! If you use other computer other than you normally synchronize (make sure that new computer has iTunes ), iTunes will ask if want to link your iPod to new computer. See Image
Say "NO" and change the sync settings to manual!
Change Auto to Manual Sync Settings
Plug iPod into computer and press iPod button. An option window will pop up and turn manual update on!! See Image
Add files from CD to your library (three ways to do it):
- ”Open” your CD/DVD drive, select files you wish to add, drag and drop them into iTunes library,

- Import
-click on File (top left corner), and choose which files you wish to import,

-if you have inserted CD in your CD/DVD drive, the Import CD button will appear on top right corner and click on it.

- Add file/ folder, same procedure as Import file!
NOTE: to add specific songs/files to your iPod, click on your CD icon and uncheck files which you do not want to have.
Add files to your iPod
When your iPod is set up for “manually” adding files, you have to select files in your library which you will add, and just drag them on to your iPod icon. Note: sometimes you have to wait few seconds with mouse over the iPod icon, in order to drop them.
