Accreditations and Affiliations

North Georgia College & State University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS), 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, GA 30033-4097, (404) 679-4500, to award the associate of science degree in nursing, the bachelor of arts degree, the bachelor of science degree, the bachelor of business administration degree, the bachelor of science in nursing degree, the master of education degree, the master of science degree with a major in family nurse practitioner and community counseling, the master of science in physical therapy degree, and the master of public administration degree.

NGCSU is an accredited member of the Association of Military Colleges and the Association of Georgia Schools.

NGCSU's teacher education program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC).

NGCSU's associate and bachelor's degree programs in nursing are approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission.

NGCSU's business degree is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs.

The master of science in physical therapy is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education for the American Physical Therapy Association.

The Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
