The North Georgia College & State University Corps of Cadets:

• The Corps of Cadets began with the first entering class in 1873
  
  
• NGCSU was the first senior military college to admit women, doing so in 1973
  
  
• All male NGCSU resident students are members of the Corps of Cadets
  
  
• The Corps of Cadets is currently 13% female
  
  
• Approximately 13% of the total student body and 15% of all undergraduate students are members of the Corps of Cadets
  
  
• Of those participating in the military program, 91% live on campus
  
  
• NGCSU's military program commissioned 47 officers during the 2005-2006 academic year.
