(Nov. 3, 2009) -- The Student Theatre Guild of North Georgia College & State University will present Larry Shue’s The Foreigner in the university’s Hoag Auditorium, November 6-8.
The Foreigner is a humorous story about Cha-oo-lee, otherwise known as Charlie; a meek Englishman brought by his friend for a little holiday at a lodge in the Georgia mountains. Mayhem and hi-jinks ensue as events unfold around Cha-oo-lee, the Foreigner who doesn't speak a word of English. With a pregnant heiress engaged to the local preacher and a crooked land commissioner, Charlie's life will never be the same!
The performance is directed by Colin Eade, a North Georgia alumnus, and overseen by Carrie Schrader, adjunct professor in the Department of Performing Arts.
Admission is free for students, faculty and staff with a university ID. Otherwise, admission is $2 for children and $5 for adults. Tickets may be purchased at online.
