CLEP (College-Level Examination Program) Tests are ninety-minute tests available in five general areas and twenty-nine subject areas, for students interested in earning college credit for material they already know. NGCSU does not grant credit for every examination CLEP offers. Please click the link below to view the list of courses for which NGCSU will grant credit by CLEP examination.

COST and REGISTRATION
There is a $20.00 service fee per test payable to NGCSU (cash, check, Visa, MC) upon check-in with the Testing Office on your scheduled test date and a $65.00 ($70 as of July 1, 2008) per test testing fee payable to CLEP (Visa, MC, AmEx, Discover) during the log-in process at the computer testing station.

Candidates must present TWO current forms of PHOTO identification in order to test. Expired IDs will not be accepted.

NOTE FOR ELIGIBLE MILITARY PERSONNEL AND ELIGIBLE CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES: While NGCSU's service fees are the tester's responsibility, testing fees are funded by the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES). Military personnel and government-funded civilians MUST present a current military identification card and a second form of government-issued photo ID with signature.

College Board Retest Policy
Candidates may not repeat a CLEP exam of the same title within six months. Scores of exams repeated earlier than six months will be canceled and test fees forfeited.

CLEP Test Dates and Times
Each date has three (3) different starting times, in half-hour increments. Only the first starting time is shown below. Other starting times can be seen during the registration process. If a date/time shown here cannot be seen during the registration process, that particular date and/or time is full and another date/time will need to be selected.
