Why NGCSU?

Army Nurse Corps

Are You Interested in a Guaranteed Career Upon Graduation from College?

Are You Looking for a Challenging Career with Great Responsibility?

Do You Want ALL of your School Expenses Paid?

THEN HERE IS WHAT WE OFFER:  The nursing detachment at NGCSU is a thriving program offered to nursing students willing to be part of the Corps of Cadets. Participation in the Corps provides students with unique leadership and management training as well as practical experiences needed for success both in the military and civilian worlds. The combination of North Georgia’s progressive military training through Army ROTC and the challenging curriculum offered through the NGCSU Nursing Department make for a very intense and rewarding experience that will prepare you to be an Army Nurse.

MONEY FOR YOU:  NGCSU and its partnership with the Reserve Components offer a number of financial opportunities to assist nursing students with the cost of their education. This money, in many cases, more than pays the cost of your education. You may choose to apply for the Army ROTC scholarship to help with your educational expenses. You may convert this scholarship into a nursing scholarship once you are accepted into the School of Nursing, or you may apply for the Army ROTC scholarship any time after you are accepted into the School of Nursing.  Click here for information about the Army ROTC scholarship. As a nursing student you are also reimbursed for many of the required expenses you will incur as a student. Reimbursable items while you are a student include; some required book fees, malpractice insurance, required immunizations, nursing uniforms, clinical supplies, clinical nurse fees and the NCLEX.

YOU GET TO EARN WHILE YOU LEARN!

CHANCE OF A LIFETIME:  NGCSU also offers opportunities for students to spend 3 weeks of summer training at U.S. Army medical centers worldwide. This time is spent with mentor nurses who guide students to clinical proficiency as they gain experience and earn money for school.
