North Georgia Wellness Center & Pool

North Georgia College & State University offers memberships to its Wellness Center and Swimming Pool to the general public during its academic year sessions.

Memberships are available at $119.00 per semester. Members will have access during all open hours to both the 5,000-plus square foot Wellness Center and the Memorial Hall Swimming Pool. Members share use of the facilities with NGCSU students, faculty, and staff.

***North Georgia College & State University advises those who wish to join
the Wellness Center to first seek the advise of their personal physician.

 

The Wellness Center
	The Wellness Center is located on the first level of Memorial Hall and contains a full spectrum of equipment in a modern exercise facility, including state-of-the-art aerobic machines - stairsteppers, treadmills, ellipticals, upright bicycles, rowing machines - all designed to improve cardio-vascular fitness. It also has free weights, benches and bars as well as resistance machines that work various muscle groups.
NGCSU Pool
	The NGCSU pool is an indoor facility with six swimming lanes and is located at the south end of Memorial Hall adjacent to the gym locker rooms. A certified lifeguard will be at the pool during open hours (pool may close due to unforeseen circumstances).

Summer 2008 Closings:
The Wellness Center and Pool will be CLOSED on the following dates:
May 24-26 - Memorial Day Weekend
July 4-6 - Independence Day Holidays

Explanation of Usage

• Interested parties must register in person to use the Wellness Center and Pool. They may do so and sign a waiver at the Continuing Education Center between 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. - 3:00 p.m Friday. Duration of use is from the first day of the credit classes through the start of final examinations. (See dates above).
• Membership fee is $119.00 per semester.
• Membership fee may be prorated as the semester progresses.
• Membership fee is not transferable and is non-refundable.
• Fee payment entitles one to use the Wellness Center, Pool, and Locker Room facilities only. Individuals may not maintain a locker throughout the time of use.
• Participants present photo identification at time of registration and must show their Continuing Education Admission Card for each entry to the Wellness Center or Pool.
• Relatives and guests of members are not allowed to wait in Memorial Hall.
• Age requirements:

  
  Wellness Center: Participants must be age 18 or older to access the Wellness Center.

  Pool: Wellness Center member dependents under age 18 may utilize the pool as long as they are accompanied by a registered member adult age 18 or older.
