NORTH GEORGIA SOCCER HONORS SENIORS FOR FINAL REGULAR SEASON MATCH
Dahlonega, Ga. – This Friday, North Georgia College & State University will honor seven men and one young lady as the Saints and Lady Saints host Thomas University for Senior Night and the final 2005 regular season match.
Rene Alvarez, Jonathan Cueva, Drew Prentice, Ciro Pelliccia, Eric Robidou, Kent Thornton, Rik Wyatt, and Matthew Wyrick will all be participating in their final regular season match as a Saint on October 28. Over the past four seasons, these eight individuals have achieved a 32-35-4 overall record and led the North Georgia soccer program to its first NAIA Region Tournament last season. These seniors have also guided the Saints in the programs first season in the NCAA and Peach Belt Conference to fourth place in the league.
Senior Brittny Peck has played all four years of her career here at NGCSU and will take the field at the NGCSU Soccer Complex a final time on Friday evening. Peck has directed the Lady Saints to a 29-37-5 overall record the past four years. In addition, she has led North Georgia to three consecutive NAIA Region Tournaments from 2002 to 2004.
Friday's matches against Thomas University begin at 5:00 p.m. for the women's match and 7:30 p.m. for the men. Admission is free to all home soccer matches.
