PAIRING SET FOR 2005 PBC SOCCER TOURNAMENT

Dahlonega, Ga. – Peach Belt Conference officials released the 2005 PBC Soccer Tournament schedule this weekend and the North Georgia College & State University men's and women's soccer teams will face Lander University and Columbus State in the first rounds.

The #8 Lady Saints will meet up with #1 Columbus State in Columbus, Ga. on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. In their last meeting on September 21, the Lady Cougars defeated North Georgia 2-0 in Columbus. In the month of October, the Lady Saints rebounded from a difficult start and posted a 3-4-1 overall record. The winner of the contest will move on to the second round hosted by the highest remaining seed in the tournament.

The #5 Saints will take on the #4 Bearcats in Greenwood, S.C. on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. North Georgia played LU on September 24 at the NGCSU Soccer Complex and fell 4-2. Since that loss, the Saints are 6-1-1 while the Bearcats are 4-2-1. The winner will move onto the semifinals on Saturday hosted by conference champion Clayton State.
