LADY SAINTS SOCCER PICKED FOURTH IN SOUTHERN STATES ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PRE-SEASON COACHES POLL
Dahlonega, Ga. - North Georgia College & State University women's soccer team, who finished second in the conference last year, has been picked to finish fourth for the 2004 title by the SSAC coaches, announced today by conference officials.
NGCSU posted a 8-7-1 overall record and a 6-1 conference record last season. The Lady Saints have finished in second place during the last four years in the conference with Auburn University Montgomery finishing in first place within that same time span. With the addition of Berry and Lee, picked to finish second and third, the conference will be very competitive this year.
Southern Wesleyan rounds out the top five while Reinhardt, Shorter, Brenau, Emmanuel, and Brewton-Parker are picked to finish six through ten. First year programs Faulkner and Georgia Southwestern are picked to finish 11th and 12th respectively.
Head coach Chris Adams' 2004 squad is currently preparing for the season opener at home against Union College on August 26 at 5:00 p.m.
