LADY SAINTS FALL AT HOME
Huffman and Marble score over 20 points in loss

Dahlonega, GA –  Kirsten Roberson led the University of the Cumberlands to a 93-86 victory over North Georgia College & State University at Memorial Hall Saturday afternoon.

Roberson finished the day with 37 points on 11-for-15 shooting from the floor and 14-for-18 from the free throw line leading the Patriots to the victory.

North Georgia, playing shorthanded due to Lindsey Kitchens being out, fought valiantly to the end - even holding the lead in the second half.

Megan Huffman finished the game with a season-high 24 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the floor and 3-for-4 shooting from behind the arc. The junior picked up the scoring load for the Lady Saints when Syretha Marble and Porsha White went to the bench with foul trouble, and junior Kourtney Singleton was injured on a Patriots' blocking foul.

Marble finished the day with 23 points and nine rebounds, while Singleton and White each added 11 in the loss.

Lissi Fuller finished with 18 points for the Cumberlands, while Jennifer Nagy and Shannon Antunez finished with 16 each.

The University of the Cumberlands, ranked ninth in the NAIA, finished the day shooting 55 (33-for-60) percent from the floor, 46.7 (7-for-15) percent from behind the arc and 71.4 (20-for-28) percent from the free throw line.

Meanwhile, North Georgia finished the game shooting 53.7 (29-for-54) percent from the floor and 25 (3-for-12) percent from behind the arc.

The Cumberlands won the battle on the boards, 34-30.

North Georgia (4-5) returns to action on December 30, as they travel to Orangeburg to take on Claflin University.
