With the win, the Lady Saints (10-3, 6-0) continue their dominance of the Peach Belt Conference in their first season in the NCAA. North Georgia has now won six straight PBC contests, averaging 84.6 points per game and defeating their opponents by over 23 points per game.

The Lady Saints came out of the gate on fire as they completed 48 percent (15-for-31) of their shots to jump out to an 11-point lead after the first half. North Georgia was even hotter from behind the arc as they went 5-for-10 from three-point land to begin the game.

Riding a 15-point first half performance from freshman guard Syretha Marble, the Lady Saints had a double-digit lead nine minutes into the game. The Lady Cougars (9-6, 2-3) cut the lead to four with eight minutes left in the half after senior forward Erin Gibbs knocked down a lay-up. With the score 25-21, North Georgia closed out the half on a 17-10 run to go into the locker room up 42-31.

The second half saw much of the same as the Lady Saints pulled away for the win. CSU was able to get within 10 points with 15 minutes remaining in the game, but the North Georgia attack was too much as the Lady Saints stretched their lead to 29 at one point in the half.

Marble led all scorers with a career best 26 points. Senior guard Katie Williamson continued her stellar play with 13 points and season high seven assists. Senior post Lara Seamon had 16 points to go along with seven rebounds and sophomore guard Megan Huffman added 15 points in the win.

For the Lady Cougars, senior forward Cherwonna Walker had a team high 19 points and six rebounds along with Gibbs who added 10 points and six rebounds as well.

North Georgia will host Georgia College & State University this weekend for a Saturday afternoon matinee at 3:00 p.m. CSU will welcome Francis Marion University Saturday as well for a 2:00 p.m. game.
