LADY SAINTS NAB 15 VOTES IN LATEST DII POLL

Dahlonega, Ga. – North Georgia College & State University received 15 votes in this week’s USA Today ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll. It marks the sixth consecutive week the Lady Saints have received votes and the most votes so far this season.

Riding a 10-game winning streak and posting a perfect 13-0 record in the Peach Belt Conference, North Georgia continues to gain more recognition from the national pollsters. The Lady Saints aren’t the only undefeated team in conference play not to get a top 25 nod from the polls. Of the 18 undefeated teams in conference play across the nation, seven are ranked in the top 25, five received votes this week, and six did not receive any votes this week.

The top 10 in the nation shuffled little this week, with the exception of Stonehill College who fell from ninth to 15th this week. Washburn continued its dominance of the poll with 21 first place votes and a perfect 20-0 record.

The USA Today ESPN Board of Coaches is made up of 27 head coaches at Division II institutions. All are members of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
