Augusta, Ga. – Freshman forward Syretha Marbleis this week's Peach Belt Conference women's basketball Player of the Week announced today by PBC officials.
Marble becomes the first Lady Saint to win the conference honor this year. The 5-9 freshman from Canton, Ga. led the Lady Saints to the top of the PBC standings after averaging 23 points and nine rebounds per game in two wins last week. She opened with a career-high 26 points and four boards against Columbus State and then scored 20 with 14 rebounds, six steals and three assists against GC&SU. The freshman shot 63 percent (17-27) from the field and averaged 4.0 steals per game. Currently, Marble is ranked 10th in the PBC in scoring, second in field goal percentage and third in steals.
