LADY SAINTS VAULT TO #10 IN NAIA POLL
Dahlonega, Ga. – After defeating formally eighth ranked Brewton-Parker College last Thursday and wrapping up their fourth straight conference championship, North Georgia College & State University jumped to 10 th in the nation in this week's NAIA national ranking.
Moving to their highest position since being ranked seventh in the preseason poll, the Lady Saints will take their 10 th place ranking into the Southern States Athletic Conference tournament. With an automatic bid to the National Tournament in Jackson, Tennessee, North Georgia will look to sweep through the conference tournament this week and move up in the final pole next week for a top seed in the National Tournament.
No team fell out of the ranking this week and the poll shifted little as each team in the top-25 took care of business last week. The Lady Barons were the only team to make a major move as they fell from eighth place to 13 th after the loss to the Lady Saints. BPC's only two losses this season have come at the hands of North Georgia. Freed-Hardeman moved up a spot from sixth and tied with Point Loma Nazarene for the fifth spot.
