LADY SAINTS FALL TO #16 IN LATEST POLL
Dahlonega, Ga. – After going 2-1 this past week, the North Georgia College & State University women's basketball team slipped three spots to 16th in the nation in the latest poll released by the NAIA this week.
The Lady Saints defeated Southen Polytechnic State University on the road and Berry College at home last week, but fell to Emmanuel College on the road 80-74 in overtime. Southern States Athletic Conference rivals Lee University and Brewton-Parker remained listed in the top-25. The Lady Flames are currently 21st and the Lady Barons are still ranked ninth. Berry College received votes for the second straight week, but was unable to crack the top-25.
The women's poll did not see any signifigant changes this week with the top seven teams remaining in their positions from last week. Vanguard remained in the top spot for the third week in a row with 296 points and nine first place votes.
This Thursday, North Georgia host Auburn University Montgomery for one of the top rivalries in the SSAC at 6:00 p.m.
