LADY SAINTS MOVE UP ONE SPOT TO #17 IN LATEST NAIA RANKING

Dahlonega, Ga. - Riding a five game winning streak, the North Georgia College & State University Lady Saints are ranked 17th in the latest NAIA National ranking released today by NAIA officials.

Last week the Saints defeated Southern Wesleyan College and Brewton-Parker College on the road 80-71 and at home 89-60 to move into a tie with the Lady Barons atop the Southern States Athletic Conference. The win over BPC was the Lady Barons first of the season and dropped the team from seventh in the nation to 10th. This week, North Georgia faces #22 Lee University on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. for NGCSU’s Homecoming game.

The top-five saw two teams fall from its ranks in this weeks poll as Southern Nazarene and Georgetown fell from third to sixth and fifth to 11th. Union University remained the top team in the nation for the fifth straight week and Vangaurd stayed in second place.
