Game 1 | Game 2
DECATUR, AL – The 16th-ranked North Georgia College & State University softball team continued their flawless season with a 9-4 win over Indianapolis and a 10-5 win over Kentucky Wesleyan at the UAH Charger Chillout Tournament.
In game one, North Georgia took down Indianapolis 9-4 behind another complete game from Sarah Phillips (5-0) who struck out six Greyhound batters. Long balls came off the bat of the Saints with Tiffany Blackburn, Natasha Willemse, and Krista Bess all blasting home runs. A six spot in the fourth inning sealed the win as North Georgia picked up their ninth win of the season.
In game two, the Saints picked up right where they left off in game one, and put 10 runs on the board to come away with the 10-5 win. Courtney McGuire went deep in the contest for her first home run of the season, while Trish Snider (2-0) was the pitcher of record, going two innings and striking out one. Blackburn had another big game with three more hits, including her team leading 16th and 17th RBI's.
North Georgia (10-0) will return to action on Sunday, February 24, as they take on Missouri Western and Lewis in the final day of the UAH Charger Chillout.
