#3 SAINTS DEFEAT #6 LADY EAGLES 6-0 IN FIRST ROUND ON NAIA REGION XIII SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

Orange Beach, Ala. - North Georgia defeated Faulkner 6-0 in the opening round of the NAIA Region XIII Championships.  The No. 3 seeded Saints scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back in the victory over the No. 6 seed Eagles.

The Saints went on to score one run a piece in the second, third, fourth and fifth innings.  Lynsey Thompson was 2-for-3 with three RBI with a double and a homerun. 

North Georgia now plays No. 2 seed Mobile in the second round.  The loser of the North Georgia and Mobile game will play at 6:00 pm against Lee.
