LADY TIGERS DROP #11 SAINTS 4-1 IN THIRD DAY OF CARUSO'S CLASSIC

Dahlonega, Ga. – In the final day of action for the Caruso's Classic Softball Tournament hosted by North Georgia College & State University, Campbellsville University defeated #11 North Georgia 4-1.

The Lady Tigers (1-8) put one run on the board in the first inning after senior second baseman Regan White reached on an error and drove in junior center fielder Amanda Martin to give CU a 1-0 lead. The Lady Tigers put two more runs on the board in the third inning. Senior second baseman Regina White walked with the bases loaded to score a run. A single by senior first baseman Amanda Stewart scored another run and put CU up 3-0 after three innings.

The Lady Saints (13-9) managed to score a run in the sixth inning after freshman center fielder Brittany Cobb scored off of a fielder's choice. The Lady Tigers struck right back in the seventh inning and scored an insurance run to finish off the game.

Sophomore starter Kelly Vooris went the distance for the win and scattered five hits while allowing one run and striking out seven batters. Freshman starter Rachel Bridges took the loss and falls to 3-3 on the season.

The Lady Tigers finish the Classic with a 2-2 record while North Georgia will play the final game of Caruso's Classic tonight at 6:00 p.m.
