SAINTS SOFTBALL REMAINS 10TH IN NAIA POLL
Dahlonega, Ga. – After a solid sweep of Southern States Athletic Conference teams this week, North Georgia College & State University remained #10 in the latest NAIA poll released by the National Office.
Playing one of the best regions and one of the toughest schedules in the nation, the Saints currently are 23-10 overall and 11-1 in the SSAC. North Georgia is one game ahead of Lee University in the conference standings and third in Region XIII. The Flames are ranked 18th in this weeks poll followed by Faulkner University who is 24th. Both Lee and Faulkner are ranked fifth and sixth in the region.
Remaining in the top spot in the nation is the University of Mobile, who is also ranked first in Region XIII. Thomas University, ranked second in Region XIII, is currently fourth in this week's poll. The final Region XIII team ranked in the poll is Spring Hill College at #14.
North Georgia returns to the diamond this weekend for a key national match-up against fourth ranked Thomas University. The double header begins at 1:00 p.m. at the NGCSU Softball Complex.
