NORTH GEORGIA FALLS TO AASU
Saints fall to nationally-ranked Peach Belt opponent

Dahlonega, GA - North Georgia College & State University dropped both of their matches to nationally-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State University here Sunday afternoon.

On the women's side, the Lady Saints were upended by second-ranked Armstrong Atlantic 9-0 in their second Peach Belt Conference match of the season. In doubles action; North Georgia's Lilia Tzuetanova and Maria Dreaden lost to Dziyana Nazaruk and Luliia Stupak 8-1; at #2 North Georgia's Katherine Harrison and Catie Murphy lost to Gabriella Kovacs and Martina Beckmann 8-1; and at #3 North Georgia's Jenny Bridges and Amey Kearns lost to Alisa Kagukina and Johanna Dahlback 8-0.  

In singles action, Tzuetanova lost to AASU's Nazaruk 6-0, 6-2; at #2 Harrison lost to AASU's Dahlback 6-0, 6-0; at #4 Dreaden lost to Kovacs 6-0, 6-1; at #5 Murphy lost to Beckmann 6-1, 6-1; and at #6 Mary Catherine Martin lost to AASU's Sofia Haggstrom 6-0, 6-0.

On the men's side, the score was identical as the Saints lost to the seventh-ranked Pirates. In doubles action, Jake Eastwood and Gustavo Carballal were defeated by AASU's Christian Bergh and Robert Jendelund 8-4 at #1;Cornelis Bal and Vlad Lumezeanu lost to AASU's Kevin Sijmons and Christian Easton 8-6  at #2.

In singles action, North Georgia's Eastwood was defeated by Davor Zink 6-3, 6-4; at #2 AASU's Jendelund defeated Bal 6-1, 6-2; at #3 AASU's Bergh defeated Carballal 6-2, 6-4; at #4 AASU's Taavo Roos defeated Lumezeanu 6-2, 6-0; and at #5 William Davis lost to AASU's Kevin Sijmons 6-1, 6-0.
