LIMESTONE SWEEPS NORTH GEORGIA ON COURTS
Lady Saints pick up two points, men one point in loss
GAFFNEY, S.C. – North Georgia College & State University fell to Limestone College in tennis action here Monday afternoon, with the women dropping a 6-3 decision and the men an 8-1 decision.
On the women's side, the Lady Saints picked up victories at the number six position in singles, with Jenny Bridges picking up the victory with a forfeit over Nicole Piazza. They also picked up a victory at number three doubles with the team of Bridges and Cassie Martin picking up a forfeit victory over Jessie Griffin and Piazza.
Other than those two matches, the Lady Saints won at number two doubles, but the team of Katherine Harrison and Caitie Murphy defeated to the team of Melanie Kragl and Lee Cribb 8-6.
Meanwhile, on the men's side the team of Marijn Bal and Sam Moore won at number two doubles with an 8-3 victory. The Saints had a chance to pick up two more points, but the team of Jake Eastwood and Gustavo Carballal fell at number one doubles 9-8 (2), and Carballal fell 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 at number four singles.
North Georgia returns to action Wednesday at USC Aiken.
