SAINTS SWEEP TORNADOS 9-0

Brevard, N.C. – Strong performances from the North Georgia College & State University men’s tennis team swept Brevard College 9-0 Friday afternoon.

In doubles action, the Saints (2-1) swept two of the three matches 8-0 with senior C.J. Weaver and junior Vlad Lumezeanu winning their contest 8-3. North Georgia then went on to sweep the singles matches. Weaver defeated Scott Kerchner in straight sets and senior Michael Cooper won his second consecutive singles match 6-1, 6-1.

North Georgia will host its second match of the season this week as they welcome long time rival Georgia Southwestern State University. The match begins at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
