NORTH GEORGIA MEN CRUISE PAST ERSKINE 10-0
DUE WEST, SC- The North Georgia College Men's Soccer Team scored two goals in the game's first ten minutes and cruised to a 10-0 win over Erskine College on Tuesday night at Huggins Field.
Kent Thornton got the scoring started for North Georgia 5:33 into the game when he scored on an assist from Ciro Pelliccia. Five minutes later the Saints went up 2-0 after Pelliccia fired a shot past Erskine goalie Jesse Kraay. North Georgia got two more first half goals from Judson Brown (assisted by Thornton) and Rene Alvarez (unassisted) to take a 4-0 lead at the half.
The Saints tallied their fifth goal in the 58 th minute when Thornton added his second goal. Jonathan Cueva scored one minute later on a penalty kick to push the lead to, 6-0. Henry Rohde scored the Saints 7 th goal in the game's 63 rd minute. Kenny MacKenzie scored two minutes later for North Georgia. The Saints got goal #9 from Kelvin Morris (assisted by Judson Brown) in the game's 80 th minute. Aaron Snyder tallied North Georgia's 10 th goal at 83:15.
Erskine dropped to 0-5-1 with the loss while North Georgia improved to 4-3-2. Erskine next plays on Saturday when they host CVAC opponent St. Andrews College. Game time is 3:00 pm at Huggins Field.
