SAINTS FINISH FOURTH IN DIVISION II NIT
Saints finish season 9-21 overall, winning five of last seven games
FORT MYERS, Fla. – North Georgia College & State University fell to Peach Belt Conference, and longtime rival, Georgia Southwestern State University 76-66 here Tuesday evening.
North Georgia shot 35.7 (25-for-70) percent from the floor, and just 19 (4-for-21) percent from behind the arc. They also shot 63.2 (12-for-19) percent from the free throw line.
Georgia Southwestern shot 44.6 (25-for-56) percent from the floor, 25 (3-for-12) percent from behind the arc and 67.6 (23-for-34) percent from the free throw line.
North Georgia won the battle of the boards, 43-42.
Anthony Rowe led the Saints with 21 points and seven rebounds, while Xavier Trice added 14 points and 10 rebounds, Jay Anderson 12 points and seven rebounds, and Jakirra Millsap 10 points.
Georgia Southwestern was led by Shawn King with 25 points and eight rebounds, Adrian Robinson with 24 points, Norbey Aragon with 13 points and Sean Cowley with 10 in the victory.
