SAINTS BASKETBALL ANNOUNCES EXHIBITION GAME AGAINST LAGRANGE COLLEGE
Dahlonega, Ga. – Third year head men's basketball coach Chris Faulkner announced today the addition of an exhibition game against LaGrange College on Wednesday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall.
Fans will get a sneak peak of the 2005-2006 edition of the North Georgia College & State University men's basketball team. The Saints return seven letter-winners and three starters from last season's team that went 23-10 and set a school record for points scored. North Georgia returns conference Player of the Year Matt Causey as well as senior All-Conference selection Mark Causey. The 2005-2006 team also features fresh new faces who look to shake up the Peach Belt Conference and NCAA in North Georgia's first year of competition.
After Wednesday's exhibition, the Saints will take on the Division I challenger University of Alabama at Birmingham for an exhibition match on the road on November 15. North Georgia will open the regular season on November 18 against Lindsey Wilson College on the road.
