CAUSEY NAMED PBC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Augusta, Ga. – Junior guard Matt Causeyis this week's Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week announced today by PBC officials.
Causey becomes the first North Georgia basketball player to earn the Peach Belt weekly award after his team has played in the Peach Belt for all of one week. The 6-0 guard from Gainesville, Ga. averaged 24 points, 6.0 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game for the 1-1 Saints. He opened up with 18 points and eight assists in a loss to Lindsey Wilson, ranked #11 in the NAIA, then came back with 30 points, nine rebounds and four assists in a come from behind win at Campbellsville. Currently ranked second in the PBC in points per game and assists per game, but first in both categories among players who have played in more than one game.
